Some Thanksgiving Recipes

This is my mom’s recipe and it is soooooooooo good and even better the 2nd day!!!

7 LAYER FROZEN PEA SALAD!!!

Break up a medium head of lettuce in a large bowl. (Use a clear glass bowl to see the layers)

Top with the following:

½ c. thinly sliced green onions

1 c. thinly sliced celery

1 can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped

Break apart a package of frozen peas and sprinkle over the above.

Then spread 2 cups mayonnaise over the top.

Sprinkle with the following:

½ c. grated parmesan cheese

½ t. sugar

1 T. Seasoning salt (Salad Elegance)

¼ t. garlic powder

Cover and chill in refrigerator overnight or as long as 24 hours. Just before serving sprinkle with 3 hard cooked eggs, chopped; chopped crisp bacon; and 2 tomatoes cut into wedges and arranged on top.

To serve use a spoon and fork to lift out each serving so it includes some of all the layers.

YUM!
I have heard about this salad that's even better on day 2. This must be it! I think I need Santa to bring one of those so-cool clear dishes to try this! Sounds so yummy after so many heavier dishes here this week! *wink*
