SCACD Spotlight Stamper

Whoo hooo, Spotlight Stamper! How cool is that? I am so stoked to get to work along side Susana's design team, even if it is just for a week!

So, here is my creation for TIOT! I used Belle from the VC4SCACD Collection. She is so sweet. I think she's getting ready for a fabulous 4th of July performance, don't you? I used some Smooch on her ballet slipper ribbons, along the top of her leotard, and on the flowers in her hair. Smooch is so much fun to work with - Just the right amount of shine, and dries super quick. I am forever sticking my fingers into 'not quite dry' stuff on my cards. I cut Belle and her layers with the Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities. The stars were cut with my sizzix (had to dust that baby off) and I added the faux stitiching. I love the lil somethin' extra it adds.

Modern Sugar Blvd. - Lots going on!

I just have to share what I have been working on for Modern Sugar Blvd.

Cheers

I love this one because it is so versatile. I added the banner and the sentiment by working in Photoshop. I also added the flag to her tshirt.
Scroll - I added the wording.

This one is actually 3 different images. The Book, the Chalkboard, And To Do Mama. *giggle* This is Bubba's Kindergarten picture. Isn't he handsome. LOL

Pink Cat Studios - Ethan Weiman & Make-A-Wish Foundation

This story totally touched my heart.

"On August 5, 2004, Ethan Weiman was welcomed into this world, and into the loving arms of his parents, Dave and Alicia Weiman.

On June 12, 2009 Ethan's little life left those same loving arms, as he was welcomed into the loving arms of God in Heaven. In his mother's words " Heaven gained the greatest little boy ever".

Ethan was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in July of 2007. He was a brave, and tough little cowboy! Ethan loved Knock Knock jokes, balloons, and of course, being the true cowboy that he was - horses! His younger sister, Ava just adored her big, brave brother.

We've designed the Weiman Wranglers digital stamps to honor the life of Ethan Weiman and raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Cowboy Ethan and Cowgirl Ava digital stamps can be purchased separately for $4.00 each or combined for $6.00.

Owl Whimsy Digistamps Sketch Challenge

Want to win some fantastic digistamps??? Then play along with the Owl Whimsy Challenge. It is a sketch challenge this week. One of my favorite sketches. Owl Whimsy is also releasing another new set. ANNIEMAY ANGEL. She is so sweet.

I was photographing this last night and couldn't get a good picture of her wings. I applied Shimmerz Angel Wings (how appropriate) and they really glisten. If the sun pops out today, I'll try to get a better picture. I use a light studio box, but sometimes have trouble capturing the fine details like glitter and shimmerz. I've been on a red white blue kick lately. I just love this double sided paper from Kaisercraft. Both sides are totally useabe... which is fabulous for cardmaking. :)

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - It's a Recipe Challenge!

Our challenge this week was a recipe challenge. We want you to create a project using 2 different patterned papers (or create your own papers with different techniques), 1 ribbon, and 3 embellishments such as brads, buttons, or flowers. I chose the NEW giraffe stamp.

The papers are from Basic Grey. I used my Copic Markers to color him and then added the background with the Copic Airbrush. I got a compressor for Mother's Day (it just got here... gotta love parcel post to Alaska) and it sure is nice. I also used oval nestabilities and some ribbon from my stash. The pearls are from Kaisercraft.

Be sure to check out the DT's blogs for even more inspiration...

Victoria Case Challenge #4 - A Color Challenge

This week's challenge on the Victoria Case Challenge Blog is a color challenge. Lilac (light purple), Chocolate (dark brown) and Ivory or Cream. I actually used my Prismacolor Pencils for this one instead of my copics *gasp*... I know... LOL

The Sock Monkey rubber stamp from Victoria Case was my choice. Isn't he sweet?

Owl Whimsy - Asian Flair Challenge

I am really enjoying designing for Owl Whimsy. Steph's images are easy to work with and so much fun. I really love the new set Asian Flair. It was easy for me to put the pieces together to make this darling lil girl. Our Challenge this week is to make a 3 column card.

This photo shows the dimension to the card. The girl is popped off the oval and then the fan is popped off as well. I added small pearls to her dress and the fan. I used my copic markers to color. I used Bed of Roses Shimmerz Spritz on the black layer. The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft (Blushed). I really am pleased with how this card came together.

To get your FREE stamp and to purchase the rest of the Asian Flair set, visit Owl Whimsy! Can't wait for you to play along as well.

Funky Fairys Challenge - CHRISTMAS

How fun to do a Christmas card in June! I used Pink Christmas for this one. The sentiment is computer generated. I spritzed the tree with Shimmerz Spritz - Bed of Roses. I added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones to the tree and under the sentiment.

It's never too early to make a start on Christmas cards and gifts. As always we ask that you use at least one Funky Fairy product to be eligible for winning a prize. There are lots of free downloads on the Inspiration Blog and of course there's the FF Papercrafts Shop.

This will be our first Big Release Party and it will be SO MUCH FUN! This is a release party that you won't want to miss!

Get ready for a Virtual Girls Night Out Bingo Party!!

WHEN: Thursday, June 11th
TIME: 9 p.m. - Midnight EST
WHAT: Bingo, Chit Chat, Challenges, Prizes

We will be playing Virtual Bingo at the Release Party. The Grand Prize Winner will take home the ENTIRE NEW RELEASE - 8 images total!!

How to Play Virtual Bingo Online:

First, let's define what a "card" is in Virtual Bingo. In regular bingo you have a card with 25 squares and you match up the rows and columns (B1, etc) to get 5 in a row.

In virtual bingo, there is not an actual card - it's a LIST of 25 words. You can keep it in LIST form or you can put it in a grid form like a traditional bingo card. However, since it's virtual and you can't see participant's cards - there is no need to worry about getting 5 in a row or anything like that. FIND THE LIST HERE!

The winner is the first person to mark off all 25 words on her "card". It's basically blackout bingo.

We'd love for you to join us! Here's what you need to do before the Party Kicks Off at 9 pm EST on June 11th!

1. A List of Bingo Words will be posted at the MSB blog. FIND THEM HERE!

2. Select 25 words from the list and keep it in a safe place.

3. Email your list of 25 words to SugarBingo@gmail.com at any time but no later than 8:55 pm EST on the night of the release party Bingo. Please have your full name as the Subject of your email.

4. Join us in the MSB Group over at PCP on June 11th. The first 5 Bingo words will be called at 9pm EST. Words will continue to be called, 5 words at a time, throughout the evening, about every 15 minutes or so.

5. The first person to yell BINGO on the PCP chat page will win ("cards" will be pulled up and verified). The prize: the entire 6-11 Release!!! Winner may substitute images from the store in the event that she has already purchased any of the new images.

6. Anyone who wants to participate will get one "card" (or list of 25 words) for the Bingo. You can earn additional "cards" by shopping at the MSB store any time during the week. The more "cards" you have, the better chance you have of winning! You earn an additional "card" by shopping in the store prior to the Bingo party. For every $10 in images you purchase you will receive an additional card . Your bonus "cards" still need to be completed and emailed to the Bingo email (SugarBingo@gmail.com) by 8:55 EST on the night of the release party Bingo.

There will be lots of fun chatter and a few challenges too! Come spend a few hours with The Sugars. Other prizes will be given away throughout the Release Party as well!

The design team will be sneak peeking over the next several days so be sure to visit The Sugars and see some little snippets of what is to come!
