Bella Design Studio - FUNKY CHICKEN

 How funky is your chicken....
How loose is your goose...
C'mon Everybody
AND SHAKE YOUR CABOOSE!!
(I sooooooooo wasn't a cheerleader in highschool!)

But I do love a good Chicken Dance!

I apologize to everyone that now has that song stuck in their heads!!

This is the Funky Chicken (or Dancin' Chick) from Bella Design Studio.  The background is also a digital image from Bella Design Studio, too.  The chicken feet are from a retired SU set and I added the 'dance steps'.

I printed out two sets of this image.  I colored them both and then sponged with distress inks.  I cut around my main image and popped it up with foam dots.  You can see the dimension better in the top picture.
I hope you will play along with the rest of the Bella Divas on the BDS Challenge Blog!!!  There are new Divas so you will want to be sure to check it out!!

Karen's Doodles Challenge #17 - Red-White-Blue

YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!

Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy is one of my very favorite KD images!  It reminds me so much of my own son.  I have been working alot on using my red copics more effectively.  Reds are hard to do!!!  The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft.  I kept the design clean and simple with this one.  The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life.

I hope you will check out the rest of the DT designs.

THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE BLOG HOP

If you arrived here from Rhonda's blog you are right on track.  If you would like to start from the beginning (because you definitely don't want to miss any beautiful creations from the DT) you can start at Kym's blog.

I'm sew thankful for your Friendship!!!

I have sew many incredible friends... in real life and online.
My husband often refers to my online friends as my 'invisible' friends.  :)
Being a military family friends come and go way too often.  It is hard, but I suppose you get use to it.... kinda.  Anyway, here is a card I made using Fairy Cynthia for a friend of mine who is leaving in a month (she just got here less than a year ago).

She is colored with copic markers.  I also added some pink crochet thread around her spool to give the card some dimension.  I sewed the first layer (zig zag stitched - 4.0 width and 1.0 length).  The paper is from Cosmo Cricket - Material Girl.

Now to continue on with the hop, head on over to Lorie's blog!

If you have enjoyed the hop, don't forget to join The Stamping Boutique on SNR for DigiDay tomorrow!  I'm sure Helen has some great things planned for ya!
And it is always so much fun.

3 embellishments
2 patterned papers

I really put my colorless blender to work on this one (besides just fixing my mistakes *grin*).  I used it to make the bricks on the house
and to also kinda feather out the shading around my image.

The paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  The cloud is cut using one of my new My Favorite Things Die-Namics and cut out of adhesive backed felt.

Piddle n Diddle

Bella Design Studio had a neat sketch on Wednesday and I have been meaning to make a card using it.  So here is PIDDLE N DIDDLE (ok that makes me giggle) from Bella Design Studio.  I think she looks like a lil Forest Sprite, so I chose some earthy colors.

The paper is Origins from Basic Grey and I also used my new Ric Rac die from My Favorite Things.  The Die-Namics from MFT are so cool!  I got a couple of them the other day after my good friend, Lisa, let me play with hers.  (Lisa is a big time enabler!!!  *grin)

FAB FRIDAY INSPIRATION COPIC CHALLENGE

I loved the challenge this week for I {Heart} Copics on PaperCraft Planet.

It was to find inspiration in this photo

I loved the colors and the design elements.
I chose a new image from Bella Design Studio.

The paper is from Kaisercraft.
I also added some glitterishness :) to her dress with the Atyou pen.
I also punched a few butterflies (MS punch) to add some dimension to the layout.

Be sure you check out the rest of the design team's cards and leave them some love!!!.
YOU WILL BE AMAZED AND INSPIRED!  *grin*

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge & New Release

Red, Black & White/Silver

So here is Victoria!  The sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge.
I embossed the background and added a few flowers and a gem.

TODAY IS ALSO RELEASE DAY!!!!!
One thing I loved about the small town I grew up in in NW Washington was the county fair each summer.  It was the highlight of the summer.  I loved all the 4H barns, all the food and rides, the rodeo and logging show, and seeing friends.  I really miss it.

This release is THE FAIR.  I hope you enjoy it, I love them.

(the clown is my favorite)

I will be back to post my project in just a bit!
But be sure you check out the rest of the design team's projects and cards!
And don't forget to enter the challenge!

Bella Studio Challenge

The Bella Studio Challenge this week (along with a fabulous blog hop) was to create a card where the sentiment is the main focus.

I love this image.... Pickle Loves You This Much.

(my colored image before the vellum)

I colored her and then layered her under some vellum with the sentiment stamped on the vellum.  I cut another frame and put that on top.  I airbrushed the purple flower and the leaves (they were an olive color).  The sheer flower is from I {heart} Papers

A couple cards to share

This first one is an image from Bella Designs Studio.
This is Flit & Pickle.  Aren't they darling?!

The patterned paper is Kioshi from Basic Grey.  I used an EK border punch for the flourished flowers on the border.  The lace was some I found in a box and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.  The image is colored with copic markers.

This next one is from Dog Gone Stamps.  My friend, Lisa, does a great job at paper piecing.  Definitely my inspiration here.  :)  I'm getting better.  LOL

This paper is from Adornit.  I added a touch of sparkle to the image with the Copic Atyou pen.  The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink.

Karen's Doodles Challenge - Summer

A few summers ago when my parents visited, my dad and Jeff did a fishing charter.
The boat... The Sea Devil.  They had a great time.

This week is a combined challenge with Karen Doodles UK Challenge Team.
My paper is from Karen Foster.  I always have trouble embellishing 'guy' pages, so I think the fishing dude is just enough.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.

I {heart} Copics FAB FRIDAY CHALLENGE

Yesterday was release day for Chicken Girl Designs over at I {HEART} PAPERS and I have to say (which I think I say each release) these are the cutest digis evah!!!!

Our challenge this week was to use one of these images.  Ok, little story, when these arrived in my inbox Carlie laughed and then asked "Isn't a cow grilling burgers a lil 'wrong'?"  I thought it was hilarious that that was the first thing she says.

Here is my card.  I hope you will find the time to join in our challenge on Paper Craft Planet.

Colored with Copic Markers.  Checkered paper is from OCTOBER AFTERNOON.  The charm is from Karen Foster and the Ribbon is from American Crafts.

The night before our Copic certification class in Anchorage, we were able to take a class at the Stamp Attic with Sherrie Siemens.  We did the coolest lil gift card holder.  So I decided to write up a tutorial for it.  I don't know if Sherrie has shared it already or not, but she gets credit for this one!  It is the easiest and cutest lil project. DOG GONE IT!!!! *grin*

Ok, I have a bunch of new Dog Gone Stamps cards to share!!!  I've been on a roll.  Don't forget the blog candy that they are having on the DGS blog!

This is one of my favorite collection of images and the story behind them is amazing!!!  I remembered I had this paper from Graphic45.  This card just came together so perfectly.

The flower image can be found HERE.  I stamped it a bunch of times, trimmed around it and then spritzed it with water and crumpled it up before layering them all together.  The paper is from Bazzill.  This card is a nifty gift card holder!

Skateboard dude is my son's favorite image.  I colored him with copic markers and used the colorless blender to add stripes to his shirt.  The paper was some skateboard phrases paper we had at the store.  The sentiment is from GinaK.

I love couch kitty!!!!  This image and sentiment are new from DGS.
The paper is Kioshi from Basic Grey.

Pixie Dust Studio - TWILIGHT BLOG HOP!!!!

I love Twilight!
(I guess that makes me a TwiHard)  LOL
When I first started reading the books, I couldn't put them down and plowed through them.

Now the theme of the blog hop.... What Twilight means to me.....

Well, this is the interesting part.  I grew up in a small town in NW Washington State.  All of the places in the books and movies are familiar territory to me.  So while reading the books, the images in my head were quite vivid having been to most of the places... Forks, LaPush, Port Angeles.  So in reading the books and watching the movies, it was my lil trip back home.  *grin*

OH yeah I'm definitely TEAM JACOB!
These are 2 of the fantastic images from Pixie Dust Studio's Twilight Collection

The rest of the Twilight collection can be seen HERE!!

If you arrived here from  Joyce's blog you are on the right track.  If you would like to start from the beginning of the hop, head on over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog.  To continue on your way, hop on over to LISA'S blog!  And you will most DEFINITELY want to make it all the way to KATHY'S blog!!!!!

***EDITED TO ADD***

My youngest two kiddos decided to play along as well.

Madeline (age 6) chose the new Victoria image.  And what is a girl without some bling!!!  She and her brother spent the good part of a rainy day the other day running embossing folders thru the cuttlebug.

Jacob (age 7) chose the 'fire & ice' image.  He's not much for sitting still and coloring, so this is good for him!!  (he's such a boy!!!)  and another one of their embossed backgrounds.

The Stamping Boutique - 2 Sketches 4 You

The Stamping Boutique is the sponsor this week over on the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge.

Here is Kazan's Sketch 54!  I LOVE IT!  I chose to use Racing AJ.

Aj is colored with copic markers and I also used my Copic AirBursh System to do the sky and ground.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  The paper is from Kaisercraft.  You can't see it very well in this photo, but the black paper has tire marks on it!  Too Cool!!!
Hope you will join in also!

I {heart} Copics Fab Friday!!!!!

Our Challenge this week was Father's Day or Masculine.  I used this image from VICTORIA CASE.  After coloring him in, I airbrushed the water and sky.  This dude totally reminds me of my dad.  My mom and dad now spend their winters in Arizona at Lake Havasu and he spends most of his time fishing.  The background paper is from Creative Imaginations.

This week I recently finished out some of the color families in my copic collection.  IT WAS EXCITING!!  It has taken me about a year and a half to get to where I am now... slow and steady!!!  Here is my 'copic condo'. They love their new neighbors!
