Victoria Case Challenge

I'm a little late posting this.  The  Coast Guard plane crash had me a little rattled.

But here is my NO LAYERS card for this week's challenge.  I just adore this image.  So sweet!

I hope you'll join us this week.

Dog Gone Stamps - Joe Boxer

Doesn't this make a great 'guy' card?  I have lots of fairies and frillies, but not a lot of guy images.  This one could even be used for a boy.  My 7 year old son love him.

You can find Joe Boxer HERE....

He is colored with Copic Markers.  I added some diamond glaze to his gloves and shoes.  I used the deckle edge nestabilities and the tag trio nestie.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The patterned paper is from Basic Grey.

Whimsy Challenge - The Embossabilities

The challenge this week is embossing.  I tried to incorporate both dry and wet embossing into this card.  Whimsy Moose is colored with copic markers.  I airbrushed the sky and grass.  The image is then cut with large oval nestabilities.  I then used the cracked glass technique (wet embossing technique).  The scallop oval is embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  The bottom layer of cardstock is also embossed with the cuttlebug snowflake folder.  The snowflakes are punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you will join us at Whimsy Stamps Challenges!  Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's creations.

Victoria Case - NEW DIGISTAMPS!!!!!

Ok, so as I was coloring this new image from Victoria, I HAD to listen to George Strait... They Call me The Fireman!  This is, as he is lovingly referred to, Suspender Dude.

Colored with Copic Markers.
The patterned paper is from Jillibean Soup and the solid cardstock is American Crafts.

It was funny, we had had the most humorous conversation on the Victoria Case group about images and the group Thunder from Down Under was brought up.  *giggle*  Well, as I was coloring this image, Hubby was looking over my shoulder and asked "What's up with Thunder from Down Under guy?"  I started cracking up.  He had no idea about the conversation on PCP.  Hubby just rolled his eyes and laughed.  I can't wait to see what other eye candy Victoria has on the drawing board for us.

Copic Buzz Challenge - sponsored by Victoria Case

Victoria is this week's sponsor for the Copic Buzz Challenge

This is FABIANA.  My card is in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I spritzed my image with Glimmer Mist to give it the sparkle!  The sentiment is computer generated.  I also airbrushed my flower and the large dew drop center to match.  The ribbon is from my hairbow making stash.

I hope you'll play along.  There is a great prize from Victoria.

Paper Garden Projects - Happy Thanksgiving

I just love this image.  It was so much fun to color.  The paper is from Basic Grey - The Eerie Collection.  The ribbon is from my hairbow making stash.  And I used my BOW EASY to make my bow!   Love that lil thing!!

And this next one I made for my mother in law who has been in the hospital.

This image is Jingle Dancer from Mo's Digitals.  My in-laws collect all things Native American and I knew she would love this image.  :)

Finally!!! A card "just because'!!

It has been a while since I just sat down and did a card for the fun of it.  The other night (in one my my sleepless blurfing adventures) I found this amazing artist - Michelle Perkett.  It was love at first sight.... no, not with Michelle, but with her artwork!

I'd like you to meet AUTUMN!

Paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  I colored her with copic markers.  Added some sparkle with the stardust pen.  The layout is simple, but I really wanted Michelle's beautiful image to stand out.

Victoria Case Challenge #21 - A sketch

We got a fantastic sketch this week.
I used one of the new digistamps from Victoria.

I added some Shimmerz Angel Wings to Mr. Moon.  The paper is from Cosmo Cricket (LOVE IT!!!)

Whimsy Stamps Challenge #23

Our Challenge this week was punches!  One of my favorite things.  I chose the Whimsy Stamps Monkey.  I think he's just so sweet.  I punched the card base with the largest curved rectangle Nestabilities (american crafts coffee paper).  The inside is cut with one of the label nesties (I need to look up which one - I really should label them in my box).  The 'frame' is popped up with foam dots.  The vines and leaves are Martha Stewart punches (American crafts paper).  The flowers were made with the MS 3 in 1 Hydrangea punch.  I have the larger hydrangea punch on order and can't wait until it is here.  I then put them on top of a piece of craft foam and rolled a ball stylus to give them some dimension.  I added a small Kaisercraft pearl to the centers.  Mr. Monkey is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copic markers.  The sentiment is from one of my CTMH sets.  This was punched with the same label shape as the inside of the frame.  It is tied off with some green SU organza ribbon.

I hope everyone is ready for a fantastic week.  I have a 'to do' list a mile long.  Hoping to get lots checked off this week.

Victoria Case Challenge #20 - I hope you'll join in

This week was a fun challenge... and it was CHALLENGING!!!  It is a color challenge.
BLACK - WHITE - and a splash of one other color!! (skin tones and hair don't count)

This past week on the VC group on PaperCraft Planet there was a lot of discussion/inspiration for Victoria to draw more of the male pin up guys.  Beefcake & Western Heat are two of the 'guys'.  Can't wait to see what she has been working on!!!

Here is Beefcake... or my Edward Cullen!!!  I colored him with copic markers and then added a layer of Shimmerz Angel Wings over his skin.  The sentiments are from Our Craft Lounge.

Victoria just release a new set of digital stamps as well this week.  YOU WILL LOVE THEM!!!

Finally back in the swing of things...

Gosh, it has been forever since I was able to update. The kids all (yep all THREE) had their tonsils out on Thursday, so I have been busy tending to them. And honestly, I'm quite sleep deprived. They appear to be healing up well. Sore, but doing ok. Lots of popsicles and jello!

Whimsy Challenge - Snips n Snails or Sugar n Spice

Well I picked Snips n Snails. This is Knight Connor. The paper & ribbon is from
Cosmo Cricket Lil Man

I also added some diamond glaze to his shield and sword. Colored with Copic markers. Sponged around the main image with distress ink.

New Digital from Victoria Case

This is the Snow Fall image. I colored them with Copic markers, airbrushed around the image, added diamond glaze & glitter to the snow on the ground and the snowflakes, and the punches are from Martha Stewart Crafts. The sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge and the flourishes are CTMH. Rhinestones are from Kaisercraft.

'They' are saying we are in for a rough winter here this year. We'll see. I really don't mind the winter. I love that first snowfall. So clean and beautiful, but then by May when it is grey and nasty, I'M DONE!!!

SHIRLEYS 2 GIRLS
