A Cozy Christmas Glow – Featuring the Kat Scrappiness Holiday Lantern

Hello, crafty friends! πŸŽ„✨

It might be sunny outside, but in the craft room, we’re already dreaming of twinkling lights, pine-scented air, and a little holiday magic. Today I’m sharing a festive and heartwarming card featuring the Kat Scrappiness Holiday Lantern Stamp & Die Set along with the Christmas Lantern Add-On — and let me tell you, this set is a holiday must-have!

This card was such a joy to create. I started with that stunning lantern — classic, cozy, and just waiting for a pair of glowing candles. I lightly ink-blended the background to create a warm light behind the lantern, giving it that soft, peaceful glow you get from candlelight on a winter’s night. Can’t you just hear the carolers?

Next came the fun part: dressing it up! I used the festive Christmas Lantern Add-On to add a bright red poinsettia, a big green bow, and a lush swag of pine boughs, pinecones, and holly berries. The dimensional look really brings this scene to life — like a little window into a snow-covered front porch.

I mounted everything on a delicately stitched scalloped frame for a classic, elegant finish. It’s all the charm of an old-fashioned Christmas, wrapped in cardstock and topped with a bow! 🎁

This card is perfect for mass-producing holiday greetings or as a showstopper for someone extra special. And guess what? You can mix and match the add-ons to create different winter scenes — from rustic to glam!

Be sure to check out all the holiday goodies over at Kat Scrappiness and don’t miss the inspiration from the Creative Crew. There’s more holiday cheer where this came from!

I used red, white, and blue Copic markers to bring this happy little unicorn to life, giving it a festive flair perfect for summer fun or a Fourth of July giggle. The sentiment panel is tipped for that playful extra oomph, and the red-and-white twine adds just the right touch of texture to make this design pop like fireworks.

Whether you're deep into your Junicorn card challenge or just starting to trot through those rainbow fields of inspiration, don’t forget—cardmaking is better with friends (and unicorns holding balloons)!

Peaceful Moments by the Sea | Not2Shabby June Mood Board Challenge

There’s something about the soft lull of waves and the whisper of sea breeze that brings a sense of peace to the soul—and that’s exactly the feeling I wanted to capture in this card for the Not2Shabby June Mood Board Challenge.

This card is a Book Fold style, which gives a lovely interactive feel—like opening a quiet storybook at the shore. I used The Blue Seas paper pad and ephemera pack, and oh my crafty heart, these elements are absolutely dreamy! The serene colors and vintage illustrations fit the challenge mood board like a sea glass puzzle piece.

The focal point is this wistful young woman looking out at the dock—conjuring memories, longing, and hope. The “Miss You” sentiment fits the theme beautifully, because let’s face it—who hasn’t stood at life’s dock and missed someone they love?

A floral panel on the side adds softness, tying in the mood board’s palette with gentle neutrals and blues. Everything is layered on crisp white cardstock to keep things airy and clean—just like a fresh beach morning.

🧡 Products Used:

  • The Blue Seas Paper Pad – Not2Shabby

  • The Blue Seas Ephemera Pack – Not2Shabby

  • Book Fold Card Base

  • Foam Tape for Dimension

🌊 Feeling inspired? There’s still time to join the challenge! Let the ocean air into your craft space and create something dreamy.

Happy crafting, and may your heart always have a peaceful place to dock.

This little labor of love features the Pink and Main May 2025 Stamp and Die of the Month, and let me tell you—it’s bursting with springtime charm. I used the sweet watering can filled with florals, added some buzzing bees, and even a delicate dragonfly that’s just fluttering with joy. The sentiment? No Scrap Left Behind: Crafty Fun with Friends!

 Hey there, crafty friends! πŸ’Œ

You know that magical moment when you gather your leftover bits, forgotten embellishments, and those “I can’t throw this away—it’s too pretty!” Scraps? Well, this was that moment… and let me tell you, it turned into a blast of creativity and laughter during a little crafty get-together!

Let’s take a peek at a few of the cards I whipped up during this Scrap Bustin' session:

Believe in the Beauty

This card is all about letting a bold design shine. I used a stunning floral foil image on black cardstock, layered with a stitched white frame for that crisp, elegant finish. The “believe” sentiment adds a lovely pop in orange and white—because sometimes, all a card needs is a little shimmer and a big heart. ✨

You’ve Got Mail, Chicken Style

Okay, how can you not smile at this cutie? I paired this hilarious little hen delivering snail mail with a soft blue embossed background of letters—because, you know, chickens and the alphabet just go together. Tilted black panel for some fun contrast, and voilΓ ! This card might just be my new cluckin’ favorite.

The Earth Has Music

There’s something magical about a galaxy background, especially when it’s sprinkled with twinkling stars and an inspiring sentiment. This one speaks to my nature-loving, stargazing soul. A dreamy, peaceful vibe perfect for someone who needs a little reminder to stop and listen to the world around them.

These cards were a mix of heartfelt vibes and laugh-out-loud fun—exactly what cardmaking with friends should be. We chatted, we cut and colored, we forgot where we put the scissors (twice), and we made a big ol’ mess. But most importantly, we created from the heart.

If you’ve got a stash of scraps, pull them out and challenge yourself! You never know what magic might come from the bits and pieces you’ve been holding onto.

Now it’s your turn—tag me in your scrap-bustin' creations! Let’s inspire each other, one little leftover at a time. πŸ’•

Stay crafty,
Jana ✂️🧑
