Shirleys 2 Girls - TWISTED THURSDAY

This week's inspiration will definitely leave you giggling.  Sorry, but our dogs weren't having anything to do with wearing a crown, so this is the top of my 5 year old's head.  

Pixie Dust Studio - THINK BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE

Happy Thursday!  I have lots to share today and will be adding more later on.  This first card is for the Pixie Dust Studio THINK BIRTHDAY Challenge.  The image is from the Paradise Collection.

My son was so excited I was coloring an image for a boy and not more "sparkly girl stuff".  I love this image.  I have been taking a couple classes on My Creative Classroom (Everything Copic & Coloring Craze) taught by Colleen Schaan.  I have learned so much.  I really tried to 'think' about my coloring on this one.  I used distress inks to sponge around the edge.  I had left the image inside the nestability.  I love that effect.

The I {heart} Copics group on Paper Craft Planet is having a design team call.

Info:

-This call is open to all artists worldwide.

-The deadline to submit applications is 11:59 PM EST on Friday February 26th, 2010.

-We are looking to add six designers to our new team.  Offers will be notified by email on Saturday February 27th and must confirm acceptance no later than Sunday February 28th by noon EST.  A public announcement will be made on March 1st on the PCP group and on the i {heart} papers blog.

To apply: 

-Please email direct links to 3 cards or projects (either on your blog or online gallery).   At least one project should include a digital stamp.

- Please include information about current/previous design team experience, although previous experience is not required to apply. Be sure to include links to your personal
blog and any online galleries that you wish to share which contain your
original work.

Design Team Responsibilities:

- To participate in weekly challenges at i {heart} copics on Paper Craft Planet (will be a minimum of 4-6 projects per month)

 I absolutely love love love this newest series from Pixie Dust Studio.

This image is the Flamingo from the Paradise Collection. 

 

There are 6 fantastic images in this collection.  I will have more cards to show you this afternoon.  I added some diamond glaze and then some microbeads mixed with pink glitter to the image.  The pink paper is from Adornit and the black and white paper is Kaisercraft.  The pearls are also Kaisercraft.

Card Patterns Challenge #51

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the Card Patterns Challenge this week.

This is one of my favorite Audrey images.  Ok ok, I really like them all, but she is in the top 5 *grin*!!  I'm not sure who the patterned paper is by, it was a small scrap in my scrap box.  And I love this glitter paper - so fun!  She is colored with copic markers.  I got to use my new heart nestabilities to cut her out.  

I am really looking forward to Valentine's this year.  My husband bought tickets for us to go to a candle-light dinner at the restaurant here on base.  Should be a really nice evening out.  Ya know, adult conversation without interruptions!!!  whoo hoooo!!!!  One year we tried a candle light dinner at home... funny story... the smoke detector is right above the dining room table and the candles set it off.  So much for that romantic evening.  LOL

Sassy Cheryl - A Sassy Happy Birthday & a Butterfly!!!

She makes me giggle!  There are some of the cutest and sassiest images over on Cheryl's site!  

I have a few others I am working on.

I colored her and then added some clouds with my airbrush system.  You can barely see them, but IRL they look pretty cool.  *grin*  This paper is from Basic Grey - Sugar Rush.  It has such fun papers in this set!

Here is another one.  I'm really having fun coloring these.  I've been using my airbrush too.

February 11th is also my sweet husband's birthday.  I love birthdays - especially when it isn't me turning another year older... hehe..  But really, I love baking and decorating cupcakes for birthdays.  Here is his birthday card I made using the PARTY ANIMALS and the fantabulous digi designer paper from S2G.  Yep, he's the big 31 this year.  *grin*  I colored the main image with my copics and then layered it over an image that I had airbrushed.  I am really liking the way it turned out.  I hope he likes it.  

So many birthdays today - what a virtual sugar rush!!!!

This is AJ with a Heart Bannerhttp://thestampingboutiquechallengeblog.blogspot.com/.  I colored him with my copic markers.  I'm trying to find the right combination for 'denim'.  I used B91, B93, B95, B97 this time and I'm pretty pleased with the results.  On the red background I used one of my new 'Romance' cuttlebug folders.  It looks like the sweethearts candies.  I love it!!  The sentiment is from Stamps of Life.

Pixie Dust Studio - a sweet color challenge

Lisa challenged us this week with a color challenge - RED - WHITE - PINK - BLACK.  One of my all time favorite combinations.... Valentine's or not. 

I'd like you to meet WINK.  Isn't he charming?

 

I used Label 7 nestabilities and the background is a new embossing folder from the 'Romance' collection from HSN.   I hope you will join this challenge!

This is the Sweet Fairy Princess.  I made this as a stand up card.  My youngest daughter just loved it.  It kinda looks like Maddie.  It was just a fun image to color, too.

 

This one makes my heart melt!  

 And here is Nutsy.  This image comes in a set!!!  He has lots of acorn 'options'.  *grin*  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.  It just seemed to fit with this image perfectly.

Michelle Perkett Challenge #16

Two of my favorite colors... blues and greens... is the challenge this week on Michelle's Challenge blog.  

I used one of Michelle's newer images - PEARL.  

Pearl is colored with copic markers.  I added some sparkle with a stardust pen.  The flowers are from Prima and sparyed with Glimmer Mist.  I hope you will join us this week.  The prize this week is a $10 shopping spree from Michelle's Etsy Store.  WHOO HOOOO!!!!!

KLM Designs - Sick Bear & a Penguin Birthday

 I had so much fun making cards today.  I had a bunch of images I have had colored and then, well, life got in the way a little.  I'm still struggling to sit at the computer for extended periods of time, but I did have a blast making these today. 

 

 Lil Sick Bear is from the KLM Designs February Release.  I think he's just darling.  The background is embossed with Quickutz folder and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.  I added a few lil pearls from Kaisercraft.  I love their embellishments.  Oh and I used my deckle edge nesties and the circle and scallop circle, too.

 

Close your eyes and make a wish!!!  Isn't this the cutest lil penguin?!  I layered him with some pink glitter paper and then embossed the black layer with Quickutz Retro Diamonds.  The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms.  The base layer is a gorgeous pearlized paper.  I kinda captured the shimmer in this photo.
