Whimsy Stamps Challenge

I love this challenge! I love cards with texture. I used some of my bowmaking supplies and found a marabou puff. The sky is airbrushed and I added stars with an opaque pen and also with a stardust pen. I added some crystal effects to his eyes, too.

I was messing around with Photoshop today. I removed the backgrounds from Kayla and Tara. And then saved them as a .png file. That way, when I layer them, they overlap perfectly. I use MS Publisher to size my digistamps.

Here he is!!! A KODIAK BEAR! I have some pictures of the bear we saw last summer. This stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms reminded me of him.

Victoria Case Challenge #14

COLOR CHALLENGE!!!

I used one of Victoria's new digis... Please meet Heidi!


This was such a fun card to do. I colored Heidi with my Copic Markers. I added some liquid applique to the foam and some diamond glaze to the mugs. They look so cool in person. I also colored clear dew drops with the same marker I had used to do her dress. The paper is from Kaisercraft and the flowers from Prima.

TDS 020 - COLOR CHALLENGE

The Digi Shack Challenge this week is a fabulous color challenge.

Here is our inspiration...

I used this cute lil guy from Digi Shack. You can get him HERE! And you can't beat $1 for such a cutie!!!


I colored him with my copics and then added some diamond glaze to his spots, horns, and teeth. :) I also colored some clear dew drops with my Copics to match my paper and my lil monster. The paper is Cabbage Patch from Kaisercraft. The solid cardstocks are from American Crafts. The sentiment is from a Hanna Stamps set.

A Touch of Sparkle

Whimsy Challenge this week was "A Touch of Sparkle". One of my favorites! I love to make things shiny and sparkly. This week I used the Lion from Whimsy Stamps. He is colored with Copic Markers and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist. The flowers were airbrushed and then also sprayed with Glimmer Mist. The Rhinestones are from Kaisercraft.

I am really enjoying using my Copic Airbrush system now. I have bought one of the pillar of Prima flowers in just plain white... then I can airbrush them to match the copic colors I use in my images. So much fun. I did end up getting a small compressor from Tower Hobbies.

It is a big day in our household today. Carlie starts Middle School tomorrow and today we get to go into the school, pick up her schedule and meet her homeroom teacher. She is excited and a lil nervous. I am too! Where has the time gone and when did my 'baby' grow up. I'm so proud of her. Jake starts school tomorrow as well, and then Mads starts next week. GASP! No kids at home for the first time in almost 12 years!!! Whatever will a Mama do???

New Victoria Case for Susana Custom Card & Art Design

Victoria and Susana have teamed up again and I just adore the Series 2 VC4SCACD stamps!!! You will have to check out all the new kiddos and see what the design teams have done. I am so thankful that Susana also includes the VC design team. I love working with her and with these stamps.

And here is Milla


The paper I used for Taylor is from Adornit. I colored both images with Copic Markers, and I airbrushed around Taylor while the image was still in the Nestie. I used Cosmo Cricket (Snorkel) paper on Milla's card. It doesn't show up very well in this photo but Milla has some sparkle to her dress and bow. I added some red Shimmerz. The red rhinestones are from CTMH.

I just know I am going to have to have the rest of the set. :)

The Digi Shack Challenge - TDS019

This is a very special challenge this week at The Digi Shack. We were directed to visit Toni's Etsy store for our inspiration. WOWSERS!!! I picked this gorgeous Gabby Handbag as my inspiration piece. I love the print and the stripes.

This is the same image just copy and pasted before printing. I LOVE THAT ABOUT DIGIS!!! The paper is from an older Basic Grey pack, Phoebe, that I had. I thought the patterns mimicked the ones in the inspiration piece. The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch.

Victoria Case Stamps Challenge #13

This week we were challenged with a sketch.

Anyone who has followed my blog knows I LOVE LOVE LOVE Victoria's pin-up and girls! This image took me FOREVER to color, but I definitely think she was worth it. She is colored with copic markers. I airbrushed the clouds, sky and the grass... and the flower too, actually. I then spritzed the whole image with Glimmer Mist. The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch.

I *heart* Sock Monkey! He is one of Victoria's rubber stamps. I added some Shimmerz to his hat and the gift.

This week we were to create a card with one of the Whimsy Stamps Animal Collection stamps. I love this piggy... I think he's dreamy. There are a couple new images that I am gaga over and can't wait for them to arrive!!! LOL. The paper and bling is from Kaisercraft. And the flowers are prima. I colored him with my Copic Markers. The sentiment is from CTMH.

Ok, I think this is one of my favorite cards in a long time. Do you ever just have that one card, where when you are finished, you say... yep, I nailed that one? I used my airbrush on the sun and the sky. The sun was made using a negative space from my nestabilities as a stencil. I also added pink shimmerz to her swimsuit and to the flower in her hair. The paper is from Basic Grey and the flowers are Petaloo.
