My Stampin' Area - I'm so spoiled!!!
Since I don't have my new SU catalog yet to tease you with, I'll show you my lil piece of heaven here in Alaska! *seriously, I'm spoiled!!*
I have a great Stamp area in our basement. I actually have 1/2 of the basement.
This is how my stamps are organized. In shoebox size totes, by categories in the catalog.
The ones against the wall behind the white drawers are my retired stamps.
I use plastic rain gutters to organize my punches! They fit perfectly. My small punches slide over a piece of metal plumbers tape.
My wonderful workbench! I can seat 12 people around it. It is a kit from www.2x4basics.com.
I spend hours down here. The kids playroom is the other half (you can kinda see it past my workbench). I have rearranged a little bit. I have a big piece of pegboard to put up and hopefully that will help with some of the 'clutter'. I have wire mesh shelves on the wall behind my computer area. I love my workbench. It is tall enough that I can cut fabric on it and not get a back ache from bending over. I can stand at it to stamp or cut paper and I'm comfortable.
Here are a few other views...
This is where I usually sit to stamp and check SCS and read the bazillion blogs that I stalk. This picture was taken on one of our Craft Nites this summer.
Another workbench view.

I was tagged....
I was tagged by Cindy, Lynn and Julie. LOL Thanks Ladies! *grin*
Let's see... 7 things about me.
1. I'm tall, I mean, really tall. 6'2". I played volleyball in college. I was going to play professionally in Europe after graduating college, but blew out my shoulder and had to reconstructive surgery.
2. I love stamps. Seriously, LOVE THEM! LOL I have an amazing space to stamp and scrap in.
3. I grew up in a really small town in NW Washington - Sequim.
4. I met my husband at church. After trying for over a year to get his attention, it finally paid off. We've now been together 6 years.
5. I love living in Alaska. It has been the greatest experience for our whole family. I saw my first bear this summer.
6. I would love to visit Ireland some day.
7. When I do the grocery shopping, I buy almost everything in twos. LOL Seriously, I do.

Ultimate CraftNite was the Ultimate girls night out.
We had lots of great food too. Renee brought the best clam chowder! It was perfect on that windy rainy night.
Annie and Ms. Donavyn
Nora hard at work!!!
Becca was crafty! She even got some pages finished!
Renee and Camilla working on some projects.
Lisa was the ultimate scrapper! She finished a whopping 14 pages!
Jenn and Lisa - it was a good time!!!
I think I should buy a lottery ticket!!!
The other night I was playing along with the Bella release party challenges. And guess what???!!! I won one of the challenges. I got to choose any one Bella stamp. How cool is that? I picked the new MWAH Bella.
So I have now won two sets. One Hanna Sentiments set and the other a Bella! I'm so excited.

Eventful Morning - Stitches for Madeline
My Madeline fell comping up the stairs from the basement. She put a huge gash in her chin and bit her tongue pretty good, too. We were able to get her right on at the Base Clinic and didn't have to drive to town when the roads are awful!
4 stitches and a bunch of steristrips later, Maddie is all put back together. She was quite the lil trooper.

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers 3
I've joined SBS3. It is a sisterhood of other blogging stampers who offer support to each other. I'm really looking forward to getting to know the gals in group 3.
We are to give a lil tidbit about ourselves... I'm a very proud US Coast Guard wife. We are stationed in Kodiak Alaska and we love it here!!! I have 3 great kids who keep me hoppin'. I'm a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
I started scrapbooking when my oldest daughter was born 9-1/2 years go. I attended my first stamp party, ohhhhh, it's been probably 5 years ago. And I was hooked! Here in Alaska, my stamping and craftiness gets me thru the winters. We don't have the 'no sunlight' thing here in Kodiak, but we do have very short days!
Well, that's a lil about me. *grin*
My husband cracks me up.
My husband, love him dearly, makes me laugh. He is totally supportive of my hobbies - and yes, there are more than one. Tonight he got off of work early and was home before I was asleep. I was updating some things here and he was looking over my shoulder.
Him "What's that?"
Me "My blog."
Him "You have a blog?"
Me "Yeah, I have for a while now."
Him "Oh, what do you blog about?"
Me "Stamping mostly."
Him - that totally glazed over look "Hmmm."
As long as I'm happy and enjoying what I do, he's supportive. He was crackin' up at me because my Christmas wishlist was basically stamping stuff - Prismacolor Markers, Papertrey Stamps, My Favorite Things stamps, a gift certificate to Ellen Hutson's store, etc.
I can so understand the glazed over look. I think I tend to get it when he talk about his gun collection. That is his passion. Old, New, broke or working, he loves to tinker with them. I don't mind. We all have our addiction, I suppose.
I just realized I haven't posted any pictures in quite a while. I have some from Friday night, but hadn't unpacked the car yet and brought in my camera. I finally did tonight, so I will upload photos tomorrow morning. I'd love to get a new digital camera someday soon. Maybe my birthday! *grin*

What a Weekend!!
Friday night was my Ultimate CraftNite. It was so much fun. But dang, I can't stay up all night like I use to when I was *younger*. I was so wiped out all day Saturday.
We made snowman coaster boxes, snowman soup tins, Bind-it-all coaster books, Christmas cards and a couple other lil projects. My friend Lisa F. was a scrappin' fool! I think she completed 14 pages. I love my craftnite gals! It is such a fun group.
So, the Stampin' Up! retiring list is out and it really isn't as bad as I was anticipating. I haven't taken a count of the 'casualties' yet. I will probably purge some of my older retired sets. I have had a hard time letting them go, though. But I think it is time. I really need to have a scrapbook garage sale. I have so much left over from before we moved up here, and I need to get it out of the basement.
